Who we are
Puzzle Tamer is operated by Universal Dividend Group Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This policy explains how information is handled on puzzletamer.com, game.puzzletamer.com and api.puzzletamer.com. For privacy requests, email hello@puzzletamer.com.
Information and its purpose
When you visit, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, requested URLs, request times and security signals to deliver the website, maintain performance and protect the service. We may receive operational information through its hosting and security tools.
If you email us, we receive your email address, the information in your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to handle your enquiry, resolve a problem or meet a legal obligation.
Your browser adventure
Guest play stores your adventure on your device, including a player identifier, companions, currency, inventory, battle history and preferences. The browser game uses local storage and IndexedDB, and may cache game files for faster loading. Guest progress is uploaded only when you choose to connect it to an account.
With Google sign-in, we receive your verified email address and a stable Google account identifier to create your Puzzle Tamer account. We use this identity to connect your adventure and purchases. Sign-in does not give us access to your Google password, inbox or contacts. Apple sign-in is planned and will be described here when enabled.
Connected accounts store game progress and up to ten previous cloud-save versions on Cloudflare so you can back up your adventure and continue on another computer. Authentication credentials are stored separately from exported game saves. Sessions expire after 30 days unless you sign out earlier. The website also stores optional sound and animation preferences locally. Clearing browser data removes local saves and preferences; it does not delete a connected cloud account.
Cookies and website features
Website artwork, fonts and music are served from our own domains. Music starts when you choose to enable it. We do not use advertising trackers or behavioural advertising on this website. Cloudflare may use security-related cookies where its configured services require them. Browser storage used for the game and your preferences supports the features you choose to use.
Service providers and overseas processing
Cloudflare hosts the website, account service and cloud saves. Google provides Google sign-in. Stripe processes payments when checkout is available. We send Stripe your account email, an internal account reference and the selected purchase; Stripe collects payment details directly. We retain purchase references, product, amount, currency and payment status to deliver purchases, handle refunds and prevent duplicate rewards. We do not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
Cloudflare supplies an approximate country from your connection to select a display currency. This feature does not request precise device location. Apple iCloud Mail handles messages sent to hello@puzzletamer.com. These providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their policies provide further details: Cloudflare, Google, Stripe and Apple.
We use this information to operate the service and may disclose it where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or investigate misuse. We do not sell personal information.
Keeping information safe
We use HTTPS and access controls to help protect information. Local game data is managed by your browser and device security. We retain correspondence and operational information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described here, to resolve a dispute or to meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it where practicable. Hosting-provider retention also depends on the service and its configuration.
We retain an account and its cloud progress while it is in use, until you request deletion, or as reasonably needed for the purposes above. New backups replace the oldest retained versions. Payment records may be retained after account deletion where needed for accounting, disputes or legal obligations.
Your choices and requests
You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@puzzletamer.com. We may need to verify your identity and explain any legal reason we need to retain information. The game’s signed-in profile offers Delete account, with identity verification and a final confirmation. It removes the active cloud adventure and retained game backups, signs devices out and removes the current device’s account cache. Offline devices receive the deletion notice when they reconnect. The separate guest save stays local and can be managed through the game or your browser’s site-data controls. Payment records and hosting-provider recovery retention are handled as described above.
To raise a privacy concern, use the same address with the subject “Privacy”. We aim to respond within 30 days. If the matter remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the relevant privacy regulator in your location.
Younger players
We encourage parents and guardians to help younger players understand browser storage, game settings and any information they choose to share. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal details about a child. A parent or guardian can contact us about information provided by their child.
Future features and changes
The browser game is currently offline. Test purchases are separated from live accounts. We will update this policy and provide any required notice before introducing new uses of personal information. The effective date identifies the current version.
